Frankie, a five-week-old Pit Bull puppy, felt sad and confused for the first time in his life after his family rejected him.
They placed the furball in a box of Pampers diapers and abandoned it on a West Side property in Buffalo, New York.
The little baby poked his adorable head out of the box and looked around with longing eyes.
He hoped that a kind human would notice him and take him to safety.
Puppy gets help
Robin, a local business owner, was surprised when she saw the most adorable puppy, later named Frankie, in front of her store.
The good woman took the baby in her arms and promised him that he would seek help.
Frankie felt relieved to see a kind face. The furball knew she was in good hands.
Robin was a strong supporter of West Side Cat Rescue Centera Buffalo-based shelter, and she contacted them to ask if they would take Frankie into their care.
Jamie Mulligan, the shelter’s founder, received Robin’s call.
Jamie assumed that whoever abandoned Frankie in front of Robin’s store knew the fur baby would receive the care it needed.
The rescue staff agreed to take in the puppy and pamper him carefully. They refused to hand him over to an overcrowded shelter.
“Unfortunately, local shelters are full of pit bulls that no one wants to adopt, so Jamie knew she couldn’t bring her to an overcrowded shelter.” West Side Cat Rescue representative said The Dodo.
Frankie won the hearts of the employees. The little baby just wanted to be held. He needed love more than anything else.
His shelter friends took the sweet ball of fur to the vet where he underwent a medical examination.
After the good humans bought him puppy food, a leash and a collar, Frankie was ready to be placed in foster care.
Frankie Finds True Love
Jamie’s daughter, who often helps out with the rescue, decided to take in the charming boy.
Frankie’s life changed completely after he arrived in his foster home. His foster mother cuddled him and showered him with love.
Over time, the little baby built a strong bond with his foster mother.
When Jamie’s daughter told her family she wanted to change the puppy’s name, they realized she had fallen in love with him.
The puppy’s mother decided that his new name would be Percy.
“It now seems that [Jamie’s] my daughter got attached. Percy is now a foster family failure, added the representative.
The adorable baby felt safe and adored in his mommy-to-be’s arms. As he happily soaked up her unconditional love, his beautiful puppy eyes filled with joy.
Percy knew he had gotten his happily ever after.
