Adopting a puppy will always be a very noble act. I can’t even imagine the happiness a dog feels when he enters a warm home after spending countless nights on cold streets.
That’s exactly what one puppy felt. As soon as a woman looking for a four-legged companion heard about a puppy trying to survive on the streets, she knew she had to adopt him.
A difficult past
Unfortunately, Stella was one of those dogs who was not lucky enough to have a family that took care of her.So she had to do it herself.
Apart from looking for leftovers to eatThis poor puppy also had to seek shelter to keep her safe. However, having to sleep on garbage bags was anything but safe…
Despite her bad luck, this adorable dog Never lose hope, and she knew in her heart that someone would come and save her.
And she was right! An incredible woman named Heather Martin was looking for a furry member to add to her human family.
When a friend told her about Stella, she knew she had to meet her.
“A coworker told me about Pooches Out of Puerto Rico, so my husband and I looked into them. We fell in love. [with Stella] immediately” , Heather said.
A new chapter
As soon as the two met, they clicked instantly. Heather described Stella as a “loving, gentle, playful, curious super chewer who loves being in the sun” and we’re sure Stella had some sweet barks directed at Heather as well.
Deciding to adopt Stella, Heather took her to the vet for a much needed and thorough exam..
Stella was abandoned in a landfill and survived by sleeping on trash bags and eating whatever she could find. She suffered from severe scabies, roundworms, hookworms, and mange. She weighed only 9 pounds when they rescued her.
Being the brave girl that she is, Stella recovered in no time and she was very excited about her new life.
A brand new puppy
Surrounded by so much love and affection, Stella looked like a completely different puppy.
She was super healthy and she loved to play. That’s why Heather decided she needed a four-legged companion to follow herShe went to the local shelter and found Stella a little dog named Lulu.
Stella and Lulu have become best friendsfilling the house with nothing but irresistible puppy joy.
Stella was a ray of sunshine. [She] knows when we need love and cuddles us. She only wants love and is truly perfect.

Luckily, Stella was lucky enough to meet someone as amazing as Heather to get her off the streets and into a loving home.
But this is not the case for all dogs. A frightening number of dogs are still forced to live on the streets and fight for scraps in order to survive. Any form of help, no matter how small, can have a significant impact on their lives.
