Having humans who shower them with love and endless soft cuddles is all puppies dream of. It’s what they need to feel immense joy in their hearts.
Knowing that there are many heartless owners who abandon their dogs and hurt their feelings fills my heart with sadness.
Instead of giving their dogs a life of happiness, these owners break their hearts and abandon them as if they never meant anything to them.
Gizmo was one of the dogs who felt hurt and betrayed after being abandoned in an industrial area.
After his owners denied him their love, he felt rejected and lonely. His beautiful eyes filled with sadness as he lay on the cold streets. The sweet puppy was confused and didn’t know what to do.
Good humans reach out
Rafael Ramirez felt sad after noticing the sad and abandoned dog. He immediately reached out to Hope for the legsa non-profit organization located in Los Angeles, California. The kind man told rescuers about the little puppy who needed help and love.
After receiving the report, rescuers Alex Babcock and Katie McKittrick rushed to retrieve him. Ramirez stayed with the dog to make sure he was okay.
Once rescuers arrived on scene, McKittrick slowly approached the puppy. She petted him, showing him much-needed kindness and affection, but the dog continued to stare at the ground. The rescuers could see how sad and betrayed he felt.
They fed the dog and he ate all the food happily. McKittrick then placed a leash around his neck and lured him into a cage.
Ramirez and the rescuers breathed a sigh of relief. The puppy will no longer tolerate hunger and cold.
The rescuers put Gizmo in the car. The adorable pooch must have felt like his life was about to change because he was grinning from ear to ear.
McKittrick and Babcock took him to a shelter and gave him lots of love and pampering.
It didn’t take them long to notice that something was wrong with Gizmo. He was agitated. He started barking while running around in circles and chasing his tail.
His rescuers became concerned about the puppy and immediately took him to the vet for X-rays. The vet informed them that part of Gizmo’s tail was broken.
Gizmo underwent surgery and his fractured vertebra was removed.

They placed him in a loving foster home where he continued to recover. Surrounded by lots of love, Gizmo flourished into a happy, energetic dog.
The rescue found him a great forever home, and the adorable dog started a new life with his family who loves him dearly.
Gizmo’s once sad eyes now sparkle with happiness, and we couldn’t be happier for him.
Today’s story shows once again that compassion and kindness towards stray and abandoned animals can change their lives.
