Can you imagine how lonely and confused a little puppy named Goldie felt after his owners abandoned him?
Goldie believed with all her heart that her family would come back for her. She was still waiting for them on the same porch of an apartment building in California.
Although her kind neighbors cared for and fed her, Goldie seemed wary of humans.
The puppy looked around, hoping to see his owners coming back for him.
Over time, his beautiful eyes filled with sadness. The puppy began to accept the fact that he would never see his family again.
Save the Abandoned Puppy
Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy 29learned of an abandoned fur baby desperately waiting for his family, and she went there to save him.
Shortly after arriving, Hall comes face to face with Goldie.
The puppy was so scared that he started growling at the kind-hearted rescuer.
“When I arrived, she was right next to the ladder and the same porch… she was so afraid of the world,” Hall wrote in a Facebook post.
The rescuer talked to her, trying to calm her down, but the puppy’s fear was much stronger.
Just as Hall turned to retrieve her snare drum, she heard Goldie moan.
The rescuer took a quick look behind him and found Goldie standing on her hind legs. The pup looked at Hall with teary eyes as if begging her not to leave her.
The kind-hearted woman leaned down and the puppy jumped into her arms.
Hall couldn’t stop crying as she held her in her arms. She promised Goldie that she would never be abandoned again.
Goldie’s heroine carried her to her car and placed her in the front seat. Not realizing she was safe, the dog was still sad.
The lifeguard gently stroked his head and spoke to him.
A new beginning
Feeling the loving touch of his hand, Goldie felt relieved and closed her eyes. She finally felt safe.
Second Chance Animal Rescuebased in Las Vegas, Nevada, took the sweet pup into its care.
Goldie began to believe that she would find the happiness and love her heart yearned for.
Soon after, the rescue made his greatest wish come true. They found him the perfect family.
Goldie moved into her new beach house. She was thrilled because she finally had humans who loved her.
The dog is living his best life. Goldie showers his forever mom with kisses, showing her how much she adores him.
