No dog is broken by default. It takes a traumatic journey and reckless appropriation for these four-legged furballs to forget their natural purpose for companionship, and Pattie, here, is Exhibit A!
This wonderful little white Pittie just had a litter, and yet she was found without her babies. Anxious and traumatized, to say she’s been through a lot is an understatement.
She spent the last six weeks with her savior, Chris, who gave her a lot of love. Then, the real miracle knocked on their door!
The journey to a new life
Chris found Pattie, with another dog, wandering around the Thermal, California neighborhood. The first few weeks were extremely difficult for this sweet Pittie, because she had lost her babies and embarked on a healing journey without proper supervision.
Even though Chris did his best to try to help her, Pattie was still very stressed. She destroyed a fence and acted nervously around peoplethat’s why Chris knew she needed help – urgently.
Pattie’s savior contacted The California Animal Rescue Centerwho came all the way to the place and encountered this cuddling bug. Beneath her anxious posture was true beautythirst for love and attention.
With the help of Save Lyfefrom North Palm Springs, California, the team worked to find Pattie a foster family where she could finally call home and begin her journey of transformation.
“She needs somewhere to go.” We don’t know how she needed to come up here, I’m sure it’s not pleasant to think about. She’s as sweet as baby Pittie. Very good with other puppies. Rescue Lyfe wrote in a Instagram post.
The sweetest failure of foster care
In just a few weeks, the team managed to find Pattie a new foster family. Jen, an experienced foster carer, was more than happy to welcome this shy young girl into her family.
Pattie’s transformation wasn’t easy, especially during the first few days, but she eventually warmed up to her new mom’s side. She began to come out of her shell and spend time with Jen’s other dogs..
Before long, she learned to be a dog again.
Pattie absolutely loved playing in the yard with her siblings and quickly became a happy puppy!
The family helped her overcome her past with endless love and hugs., and Pattie certainly knew how to return the favor. She showed off her wonderful personality and showed how sweet and loving she truly is.
Her adoptive mother decided to changes her name to Sukiwhich ultimately led to the most awesome news!
As soon as she made this change, she realized that Pattie/Suki was no longer just a foster family but a permanent member of the family! She informed the Center that she wanted to (now) keep Suki in the family for good!
The Animal Rescue Center of California shared some wonderful news on their Facebook:
“Pattie/Suki is adopted!” Once homeless on the streets to part of a fantastic family, this little Pittie girl is finally living the life she deserves. Thank you, Jen, for opening your heart and your home. Welcome home, Suki!
Everyone was extremely happy to see this once broken girl completely transformed alongside her beloved family.
After all the storms and trials she’s faced in the past, Suki is finally where she’s supposed to be: in a loving home, surrounded by people who truly love her!
