This poor dog was in very bad condition when she arrived at the Maryland shelter, as she was very emaciated with skin problems and injuries to her legs and paws.

Even though Ivy looked quite young, it turned out that his microchip was 19 years oldwhich meant she was a very old dog. This was both a shocking and astonishing realization for them.
The rescue organization posted a video via its Instagram account, @lailaslegacy_, showing Ivy in the arms of a kind soul, with a big smile on her face, as if she knew the terrible fate had passed her.
