Bettina is the kind of puppy that leaves you in awe!
Sweet and desperate for a friend, all this girl needed was a little help.
She was a true example of neglect that lasted for years. Matted, shaggy and covered in ticks and fleas, it seems Bettina never really had the chance to showcase her full potential – until now!
A lifeguard with a giant heart who was about to leave on another rescue mission spotted this shaggy girl wandering the streets of California, and she immediately decided to postpone her original plans for a bit – for a good cause!
Bettina desperately needs care
Mary, member of the incredible Suzete Hall rescue team, Logan’s Legacy, from Irvine, California, was inclined to change Bettina’s life for the better! This isn’t the first time Hall’s team has seen a plan changed in seconds, but a noble goal and selfless act is definitely worth it!
When she finally crossed paths with Bettina, she realized that this little girl had an owner who didn’t want her, and was more than willing to give up the dog to Mary.
The rescuer didn’t think twice and immediately accepted Bettina!
One haircut is enough
It was more than clear that this dog was not getting as much attention and care as she needed. His fur was very dirty and his hair was matted.so Hall and his team wasted no time!
They took her to Camino Pet Hospital for a first check, after which they had one and only one program in mind: to give Bettina the most brilliant makeover possible!
The incredible team at CPH spared no time or energy in the process, but after removing his very last knot, they realized it was worth it! Bettina’s new look was priceless and she it looked like a brand new dog!
“Poor baby smelled so bad and was so matted…so many fleas. But today, all that is behind her. She had a facelift and a fresh start. She will never be unwanted again. Hall wrote on his Facebook.
A brand new girl
No one knew how long this adorable girl had to carry around her excess fur, but that didn’t matter anymore! The only important thing now was that Bettina felt relieved and didn’t look like herself at all.
No more tangles, ticks or fleas on his fur – and definitely more of that old “street dog look”.
Turns out all it took was a simple haircut for her to feel a lot better after all this time! And now she looks like a million dollar girl, with all these years of neglect wiped out!
And yes, she is definitely as affectionate and sweet as she looks! With her caregivers nearby, Bettina’s adorable smile only grows bigger and better each day.
At this very moment, she benefits from her host family and building toward his full “family dog potential,” and with his charming nature and one-of-a-kind personality – we are absolutely confident his forever home is just around the corner!
