She lay there for days, begging for help.

Yet she was abandoned so far away that no one could hear her helpless cries. Sammi, a one-month-old dog, was cruelly thrown into an abandoned reservoir, miles from her original home.

That day, she didn’t just lose her house. She lost much more: her smile, her puppy enthusiasm and, above all, her faith in humans.

It’s safe to say that Sammi was almost on the verge of giving up everything until some kind people finally showed her that not all hoomans are the same.

She was screaming for help

Thanks to a a local resident who heard her loud screamsSammi was noticed for the first time in what seemed like forever!

He immediately contacted the Sidewalk Specials team who had already rescued a dog from this same reservoir months earlier. After receiving the call, they just couldn’t believe that someone would do the same thing again.

When they finally arrived, they saw Sammi all terrified and motionless. She was lying on a pile of trash and was literally frozen. She looked like she had given up on everything after being unable to escape from this deep prison-like hole.

“She was like frozen. There is no food there. There is no water there and it is very hot. Rachel said The Dodo.

Rachael and her colleague immediately jumped into action to save this poor girl. The minute she found herself in the arms of her savior, Sammi felt better. It was as if she just knew that from this moment on, everything would be different.

And, boy, she was right!
