It is quite common for some people to use dogs for breeding purposes. Some treat them well, others less so.
Either way, it’s unethical and it needs to stop. Unfortunately, it’s not going to stop anytime soon.
Sybie was just one of those victims. Her life wasn’t going so well. She had suffered a lot while she was still with her owner.
When he abandoned her because she was no longer useful, she struggled and was forced to live on the streets of Chicago until a group of rescuers came to save her.
Sybie’s Most Exciting Day
When she was brought into the shelter, she was still quite young and there was a good chance she would find a permanent home.
While it’s true that most people want a puppy, Sybie was always very lively and playful. She deserved a good family.
She stayed at the shelter for about three months, and then something incredible happened. Someone special walked through the door.
Erica came to adopt a dog. She said Animals GeoBeats: “When I went to visit her, these dogs were just asking to be taken out and she wasn’t barking at all. I walked over and she was just licking my hand up and down.»
At that exact moment, she knew Sybie was the perfect dog for her. Erica adopted her and immediately took the dog to his new home in Wisconsin.
His life changed radically in just a few days. She immediately settled into her new home and explores every corner.
One of her favorite things to do is run around outside with her mom and roll around in the grass. It looks so adorable, especially when she does it so randomly.
Erica theorized that she must have lived in a house before because of how quickly she got used to living there.
She says: “I think she really enjoys where she is now and she has a whole family, and she has all these different cozy places to snuggle up.“
She just enjoys her life
One person she loves so much who isn’t Erica is actually her boyfriend. It’s so heartwarming to see the two of them together.
He and Sybie have a very special bond and even Erica recognizes that it’s different. It’s hard to see them apart when he’s around.
Erica loves taking him for walks regularly and often remarks how adorable his ears are. They are still beating very hard and she loves seeing them.
Erica was curious about his race. She did an Embark test and Sybie proved to be a 100% American Pit Bull Terrier.
It’s heartwarming to see how sweet and happy this dog is all the time. Erica said: “If I didn’t have it then, it’s likely that it wasn’t there yet.“
Looking back on it all, she realized that maybe she almost took in another dog because she had been looking to adopt him for some time.
Some of the shelter puppies were put down around the time she first met Sybie.
Regardless, she is so happy to have this dog in her life. She had an incredible impact on Erica and I’m happy to see she’s doing well.
