Some dogs spend their entire lives in comfortable homes, looking for new adventures every day. Some, on the other hand, never have the chance to experience all of this. And it breaks my heart!
Myna is one of the dogs who has been waiting for her opportunity since birth.
At ten years old, this pretty girl only knows life in boarding and kennels. Yet she never stopped hoping that one day, a man would walk through that door and take her to a forever home!
Waiting for a chance
When she first arrived at Twenty Legs Rescue, Brooklyn, New York, Myna’s story was a mystery. The staff knew nothing about his former life except that it was a stray dog.

Myna fits perfectly into her new environment. Since then, she has been friendly, although she has never had the opportunity to share her life with Hoomans before.
This New York rescue has had Myna for the past few years, and if they’ve learned one thing, it’s that this Boxer mix is nothing but the sweetest lovebug! However, there are still no applications for her.
“She is truly a forgotten soul and we suffer for her. For years, she was in boarding school waiting for an opportunity. Yet no email ever reaches this senior nugget. For what? She is sweet, playful, affectionate and full of smiles. TPR wrote on Facebook.
During all these years, Myna never lost hope.
She wakes up every day with so much enthusiasm and certainly don’t let anything take away that spark!
“She doesn’t let anything get her down, approaching each day with drooling, shiny jowls ready to kiss.” rescue added.
Myna still has a lot of energy
Despite the fact that she is already ten years old, Myna always acts like a little girl! Her caregivers love to call her the Fountain of Youth because of her incredible spirit!
She would love to have a family that she could go on exciting adventures with, because that’s just how Myna rolls!
“Despite her age, Myna has no health problems and is still an active dog who would adapt well to a home with older, active children. In addition, he is a very dynamic puppy; she would thrive in a home where she could simply participate in all the family adventures,” say his caregivers.
In all her years in the rescue, this resilient young girl never showed the slightest sign of depression. Myna is perfectly content with everything she receives from her loving caregivers, and she would definitely make an excellent companion!
After ten years of searching, I’m sure it’s time for this Boxer mix to meet someone who will love her just the way she is. And if I can say one thing with certainty, it’s that Myna will definitely return the favor!
