There are many cases of people who adopt dogs and abandon them after realizing that it’s not what they want.
I mean, who knows what they expected from them in the first place? It could be that they wanted a guard dog, a shepherd or something else.
Regardless, when their expectations are not met, they abandon puppies who have formed an emotional bond with them, leading them to become seriously depressed.
In this story we will talk about an adorable dog who was abandoned by his owner and left at an animal shelter in California.
Meet Bams
When Bams was first taken to a shelter, he seemed so scaredalmost as if he realized what it meant to him.
The hard truth was that this dog was going to be euthanized. Nai’a, one of her saviors, said The Dodo: When a dog is stationary, they don’t allow it to be there very long.
It was then that she realized that they had to save her from this cruel fate.
After taking him out of the shelter, his mood changed dramatically. He just kept hugging and cuddling people. It was really very healthy.
Nai’a chose to take him in and be there for as long as it took for him to find a new home.
Even though he was very happy to be with her, it still took him a while to overcome his fearsbecause being in a new environment can be a bit overwhelming for dogs.
Bams’ new companion
After a while, Bams seemed to enjoy hiking and exploring the new environment this now made her very happy.
Nai’a said: There was a chance he would be adopted by someone in Los Angeles, but my best friend is a super athlete. Basically, I told him I found his dog.
When Nate first saw the dog, he realized that they were simply meant for each other. The two were just very compatible.
Even when he still lived with him in Oregon, Nate noticed that Bams seemed really afraid of certain things, like seeing a deer.
The most notable example was when it was snowing and the dog didn’t know what it was or how to react to it.
Nat said: The first time I took him out in the snow he was very hesitant. Then, suddenly, he realized that the snow was impressive.
The two enjoy spending time together in every way possible.whether it’s exploring the great outdoors or just curling up and taking a nap on a couch.
At the end he says: It reminds me every day that animals are so resilient. They just need a chance.
And that’s really the truth. I’m so happy that Bams found his forever home with such an amazing person, and I wish them the best in their new adventures of exploration together.
