There are really only two choices when you come across a dog in need: you either step in to help them, or you don’t!
For true animal lovers, the answer is quite clear!
And it was clear to the group of giant-hearted rescuers who accidentally came across a puppy in terrible condition. When they saw a little ball of fur struggling with its entire body facing the world, they immediately stopped in their tracks.
What was wrong with the puppy that he felt the need to stick his nose and paws in the grass? Why was he so still? And was he okay?
These questions floated over their heads until, unfortunately, they came to a shocking realization.
A heartbreaking revelation
It didn’t take rescuers long to realize there was an obvious reason for this puppy’s condition. When they approached him and tried to establish a closer connection, they realized that the puppy didn’t move at all.
He lay there, completely still, without the strength to move even a little bit.
The rescuers then understood why.
Unfortunately, its two hind legs were seriously injured. Once the rescuers got him out of the grass, he started dragging them along the ground, because he couldn’t use them at all.
Realizing how difficult his situation was, the rescuers didn’t think twice.
They immediately picked up the little boy and took him home, where he was treated to the best bowl of food and a hot shower.
Then reality hit!
The next morning, he was taken to a local clinic, where his serious condition was confirmed. Its two hind legs suffered a serious injury and needed immediate surgery.
It was a long and exhaustive recovery
After the operation, all the rescuers could hope for was a speedy recovery. But unfortunately this was not the case!
Even though the surgery went extremely well and the puppy felt great, it took him almost two weeks to start feeling better.
The puppy received his medication regularly as well as physical therapy. Apart from that, his rescuers made sure to give him relaxing herbal baths which had a positive impact on the entire recovery.
Still, there wasn’t much he could do. The first few days he just took his medicine and spent quality time with his hoomans.
The good news is that the puppy had already come out of his shell and embraced his saviors as his own. Once a shy and scared dog, he was now a completely different dog who loved being around people who showed him true love.
And now, with them by their side, nothing could stop him!
It was only a matter of time before he could jump on his feet again. And finally, after four long and exhausting months of constant therapy, it happened!
Finally embracing the world as a brand new puppy
You wouldn’t believe how much progress this puppy has made already!
That’s right! You no longer look at the shy, hurt dog. Our resilient friend defied all odds and made sure to make this moment memorable!
He is now a brand new boy, embracing life with paws wide open, as he always should have done. Thanks to his giant-hearted saviors who saw him that day, he is finally able to walk again – and he does it with so much style!
The puppy hangs out regularly with feline friendspursuing new adventures every day. And, when he’s not on the go, he snuggles up next to his hooman buddies, looking for all the love he’s missed in the past.
Of course, he returns the favor too!
Grateful for this new beginning, the puppy showers everyone with love, happy to have a second chance at life.
He really deserves it!
