We all know that dogs are incredibly social beings.
They love to run around and spend time with everyone they meet, regardless of breed or size.
I’ve talked about many strange friends dogs have made over the years, but the couple we’re about to see today are truly one of a kind.
Their bond goes beyond what one might expect. This shows us once again that friendship knows no boundaries, be it species, sizes or differences in any form.
The most unique duo of all time
A proud dog owner took to his Instagram to show off how his Pit Bull puppy, named Kronos, made quite an interesting friend.
The video shows the adorable pup happily wandering around his house before lying down on a blanket on the sofa. At first, you might think that all you’re looking at is an adorable little puppy taking a nap; However, he is soon joined by his very close friend.
Drum roll, please… It’s a rat!
Rémi, the rat, who is almost the same length as Kronos, is snuggled comfortably next to your canine companion.
Of course, Kronos couldn’t help but kiss his boyfriend affectionately before their little nap.
Since the video went viral, many hoomans gathered in the comments in order to express their opinions on this strange little duo. Spoiler alert: it’s adorable!
“I had pet rats for a few years and my pit loved them. He stood by their cage and cried until I let them out. They had free time in the house and he let them climb on him, he followed them everywhere…” wrote one commenter.
Another said how this little video completely changed his opinion on rats: “I’ve never been a fan of rats. I never really found them cute. But seeing these two buds hanging around. And this little rat peaks into a little relaxation area and snuggles up against him. Rats are cool, I guess.
I loved what this man pointed out when he said: “Two of the most misunderstood and wrongly stigmatized animals show their true essence here.”
Let’s break the stereotypes
As social animals, dogs tend to form strong bonds with humans and other animals, often in surprising ways.
Pit Bulls and rats are often unfairly judged based on stereotypes, with Pit Bulls being called aggressive and rats considered pests. However, the incredible friendship between Rémi and Kronos shows how false these assumptions can be.
Pitbulls and rats have proven time and time again that they can become best friends while being playful, loyal and trusting with each other, demonstrating that love and companionship can thrive in the most unlikely friendships!
So please, let’s break this stereotype and finally understand that The only things animals are are loving and kind!
