I wish dogs would never know how painful it is to have their heart broken.

Stanford, a Pit Bull mix, was left deeply sad after his owners abandoned him in a park and turned their backs on him forever.

Luckily, a kind-hearted family found him and they contacted him. Rockdale County Animal Shelter in Georgia, which welcomed him.

Since the family fell in love with the cute puppy, they returned to the shelter and filled out an adoption application.

The kind people who visited Stanford in his kennel hugged him goodbye and promised to bring him home soon, the puppy’s heart filled with happiness.

However, things did not go as planned.

Stanford is heartbroken again

When Stanford saw the family approaching his kennel, he stood on his hind legs and put his paws through the kennel bars.

The puppy looked at them with hopeful eyes, begging them to take him home.

Sadly, the family came to say goodbye to Stanford and tell him that they were unable to give him what he wanted most…a loving home.

Since their rental property did not allow dogs, The wonderful family had no choice but to drop out of Stanford.

“They had to see Stanford one last time and explain why they couldn’t bring him home. Their last goodbye was painful…” Humans and animals united written in a Facebook post.

The puppy’s eyes filled with tears as he watched the family walk away. His heart was broken for the second time.

Stanford was waiting for them at the shelter, thinking they would come back for him.

The puppy needs to be saved

Unfortunately, Stanford’s number was placed on the euthanasia list.

The sad dog retreated to the corner of his kennel, lowered his head and turned his face towards the wall. He seemed to have given up on himself.

Luckily, fate had a surprise for the heartbroken dog.

Rescuers at Humans and Animals United, a Florida-based animal shelter, heard about Stanford and were heartbroken.

The right people knew they had to do whatever it took to help him.

After the rescue team worked hard and managed to find Stanford a foster home, Volunteers rushed to the Rockdale Animal Shelter to retrieve the dog.

Feeling hopeful about the future

The dog was excited to leave his kennel and get out of the shelter.

His eyes lit up with joy and he began to wag his tail. Stanford knew he was free.

The staff were moved to tears as they saw the dog’s face beaming with happiness.

“Our boy left the shelter today with the greatest joy! He knew this was the beginning of his new life! There are no words to describe it.” Humans and Animals United wrote on Facebook.

Volunteers took him to the clinic where he underwent a complete medical examination. After receiving his medical certificate, the dog was placed in his foster family.

His foster family showed him kindness and gave him lots of love.

The puppy felt lucky because his love was finally reciprocated.

Although the dog enjoys spending time with his foster parents, he dreams of finding his forever home and showering his parents with love forever.

I hope Stanford will soon realize his biggest dream. After all the heartache the puppy has endured, he deserves to achieve happiness and feel immensely loved.
