As Jane Harper was leisurely strolling with her furry companions along the river, something terrible caught her attention.

The piercing cries of a dog in distress echoed through the air, which forces Jane to look quickly towards the river bank.

Without hesitating for a moment, she rushed to the source of the distress. To her horror, she discovered a Belgian Shepherd struggling desperately in the water.

She knew it wasn’t a common occurrence for a dog to accidentally fall into the river. Someone deliberately tried to hurt the poor dog trying to drown him. Jane then knew she had to do something quickly.

With a sudden burst of energy and determination, she was able to save the dog from the water. But she didn’t stop there.

She quickly took the Belgian Shepherd, who was later identified as Bella, to the nearest vet.

The veterinary team worked hard to make sure Bella was okay and she was able to recover from this terrible experience. Fortunately, all their efforts paid off and Bella began to get better little by little.

But here’s the interesting part – Bella had a small chip implanted inside her in 2010, and thanks to this, the police were able to find out who its owner was.

It was a really important clue. which led them directly to a woman named Charlene Latham, aged 31.

They wasted no time and quickly arrested Latham suspected of committing animal cruelty offences. Fortunately, it appears that justice was served swiftly.

Later, when they went to court, Latham admitted to trying to drown Bella. Meanwhile, Bella was making progress at the veterinary hospital.

She wasn’t very strong, but she started showing positive signs As time passed, everyone was optimistic about his full recovery.

This brave dog still has a long way to go, but thanks to Jane’s care and the dedication of the veterinary team and police, she has a chance for a better future, far from cruelty.
