I’ve seen all sorts of neglect and abuse done to dogs, but there’s nothing more infuriating than seeing people do it on purpose.
When people adopt a puppy, you don’t normally expect someone to treat them like this. The dog really didn’t do anything wrong to deserve this.
This sweet puppy was suffering the same fate because of his owner. He was driving the truck and dragging her on the chain all the time. The poor puppy was having a hard time keeping up.
Such a spectacle horrified everyone who saw it and they immediately called the local authorities to deal with it.
She was finally saved
As soon as authorities arrived on the scene, the dog, Charli, was taken from its owner and placed in a shelter.
Staff noted that she was a very shy, but also very sweet dog. She enjoyed being around other people, as evidenced by her wagging tail.
This does not mean, however, that she trusts everyone. because she is usually very reluctant when meeting new people.
I don’t understand how her owner could do something so horrible to her. She didn’t deserve this.
Shelter staff didn’t think it was entirely safe for her to stay in Texas, so they contacted Austin Pets Alive! for help.
Because they have a very efficient transportation system, they can help many dogs in need and transfer them to a place where they can receive help quickly.
This also means that they can help around 3,000 animals a year, which is simply incredible.
Charli remains hopeful
When all the paperwork was done and it was time for the dog to leave, She was really scared.
She couldn’t really trust anyone there, because the abuse had taken its toll on her.
Austin Pets Alive rescuers tried to calm her down, and she calmed down a bit. She was taken into the vehicle with the other dogs, and they were on their way to a new life.
The rescuers wrote on their Instagram: job: “Right now, in a transport van with 25 other dogs headed to Chicago, Charli begins a new journey to find someone who will love her.“
Everyone hopes she finds someone really special who will cherish every moment with her.
Given what she has been through, She needs someone especially gentle who will help her overcome her trauma.
I’m so happy to see that there are people in this world who help dogs like Charli, who have been through a lot and need a fresh start. I wish them all the best.
