A dark bump
As a man was returning to his local shelter, he spotted something strange on the road. From a distance it looked like a dark mass.
He decided to take a closer look. He was shocked to see that it was a small, injured puppy. The little baby raised its head to look at the man as if asking for help.
She was a German Shepherd and she was only three months old. The man took the puppy and placed it in his car.
He called a veterinary clinic to see if they could accept him as soon as possible, and they agreed.
The rescuer rushed to the vet as quickly as he could and was there in less than 20 minutes. They could finally help him now.
When they arrived, they came to the conclusion that the probable reason The puppy was bleeding because he had broken a leg.
She had a few other minor issues, but they could wait. They focused on cleaning her wound and healing her broken leg.
While they were doing this, the puppy was scared and tried to get away from them, as he was in a lot of pain.
However, they only wanted to help her, and she realized this after a while, so she stopped squirming. The next day they took her for an x-ray.
As it appeared, She was given antibiotics and special bandages that would help heal her leg until she was ready for surgery.
A new start
She had stayed in the clinic for special care before the operation. However, something went wrong a few days later.
The puppy had started vomiting and it turned out he had parvovirus. Her rescuer decided to visit her to make sure she was okay.
However, her vets are committed to helping her and will ensure she comes through this difficult time stronger.
They gave him an IV and intravenous treatment to help him recover. She also received a plasma and blood transfusion to help stabilize her condition.
After about two weeks of treatment, This puppy was finally starting to get better and was preparing for his surgery.
When the time finally came, the vets had to amputate his leg, because he had suffered serious damage and there was nothing they could do to save him.
But soon she would experience an amazing recovery. and start learning to walk again, which was more difficult now, but that didn’t discourage this brave dog.
Her rescuer worked tirelessly to care for her after surgery and helped her find a forever home.
She was then taken to meet her new family and they immediately adored her. A big plus of all this is that she also has two siblings who are always there for her.
