Many people believe that making your bed first thing in the morning sets you up for a great day.
A woman named Sophie Gallagher used to make her bed as soon as she woke up, thinking it would be tidy all day.
However, she began to notice that the bed would suddenly become unmade during the day: the blanket was all messed up and the pillows were scattered everywhere.
But it didn’t take him long to figure out what was really going on.
The cutest culprit
Assignment a video on TikTokGallagher revealed that It was actually her 18-month-old dog, Dot, who was doing thisIn the video, Dot can be seen hiding under the covers, all cute and cuddly.
Gallagher could spend all the time in the world trying to make his bed clean and spotless, but that didn’t matter to Dot. Whenever she saw the opportunity, she would head to bed and take a little nap.
In an interview with NewsweekGallagher revealed that she actually blamed her boyfriend for making a mess in bed all the time, only to realize that “The queen would undo it to go to bed.”
Even though Dot has slept in the bed since she was rescued in 2022, she decided that it just wasn’t enough.
This sleepy puppy would go to bed whenever he wanted and stay there as long as he wanted.
Thinking it was the cutest thing ever, Gallagher couldn’t help but share it on his TikTok, showing the world the cutest little rebel.
Everyone loved it so much that They made Dot TikTok famous in a few days!
“I work from home Monday, Thursday and Friday, so after she comes running with me in the morning, she comes back to bed and crawls under the covers. She spends as much time as she wants in the bed, and we’ve accepted that it’s her bed now too. I can’t get mad at her because it’s so funny. We’re so lucky to have such a funny dog,” she told Newsweek.
Although many believe this is just normal canine behavior, the American Kennel Club (AKC) has stated that there are actually several different reasons for this.
For example, some puppies do it because they feel anxious or even sick. hiding in a bed gives them a sense of comfort and security.
On the other hand, some dogs may also enjoy the companionship and warmth that beds tend to provide.
Luckily, Gallagher isn’t at all concerned about Dot’s little habit: if it makes her adorable pup happy, she’s happy too.
Happy dog, happy owner
Gallagher said that Adopting Dot has been one of the most rewarding feelings of my life. and she now encourages everyone to do the same if they are able.
“It’s such a rewarding feeling to give a neglected dog the best life possible, with endless cuddles, lie-ins, walks and treats galore.” she says.
Knowing that she didn’t have a happy life before, allowing her to sleep whenever she wants is the least she can do for her, and everyone in the comments of the video couldn’t agree more.
“I didn’t think the video would get any attention. It was just for me to document all of our fun memories with Dot, but the response has been hilarious,” Gallagher said.
It really warms my heart to see dog parents allowing their pups to do things that make them happy.
Gallagher can make her bed as many times as she wants, but I know seeing Dot’s adorable face under those covers is something truly priceless.
