One cold and windy day, a lonely puppy was wandering around the neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. He was a sad stray dog who didn’t know where to go.
As he was in dire need of shelter from the wind, the dog chose a house at random and climbed onto the porch. He curled up on a doormat, keeping his cold paws under his body.
The dog hoped the owners wouldn’t chase him away. All he wanted was a place to rest his head and keep warm.
As he lay on the stranger’s porch, the homeless puppy dreamed of having parents who would keep him warm and give him love.
Good humans show kindness to stray dogs
Luckily, a good Samaritan noticed the puppy lying on the porch with the saddest expression on his adorable face. They immediately called Rescue for stray animals in Saint-Louisasking them to help stray and lonely animals.
As soon as they received the call, rescuers were on their way to save the puppy.
When they arrived at the address, the rescuers were saddened to see the dog curled up on the doormat and looking at them with his sad eyes. After talking to him, he let them put a leash around his neck.
The dog, later named Gasper, realized that these humans had come to help himHer soft, sad eyes began to fill with hope.
Gasper felt relieved that someone had come to get him. He hoped that they would take him somewhere safe and warm.
The rescue team carried him to their heated car. The puppy started to feel much better. His paws were no longer cold.
The love he lacked when he was on the streets
After the rescuers brought him to the shelter, they cuddled him and realized how adorable Gasper was. He soaked up all their affection and couldn’t get enough of their cuddles.
Stray Rescue of St. Louis veterinarians gave him a complete medical exam. Gasper was about eight years old.
Although the dog felt exhausted from his life as a stray, Gasper was grateful and thankful to have been saved.
“Every time we spend time with this sweet little guy, he stretches out and gets up out of bed. When we start petting him, he slowly sinks back to the floor. Then, he closes his eyes and lets himself go into the massage.” the rescue wrote on Facebook
Gasper’s shelter friends continued to give him lots of love. They covered him with kisses and gave him even more massages.
His charming personality shone through, making the staff fall in love with him even more every day.
Gasper loves it when the shelter staff makes kissing noises. Every time they pet him, the cute dog leans towards them and melts their hearts.
Gasper hopes for a happy ending
Gasper hopes to find a wonderful family and give them all the hugs and kisses he has reserved for them.
Unfortunately, the adorable pup has multiple skin tumors on his body. Gasper’s shelter friends are hoping to find him a foster home or forever family. They believe the charming dog could have plenty of time to spend with a loving family.
“He may have years to live. He is doing very well now that he is safe and healthy, and we expect he will continue to improve in a loving and caring environment. [easygoing] House,” the shelter wrote.
While waiting for Gasper to find a home, the shelter staff will continue to give him all their love.
We hope the handsome boy from Missouri soon finds wonderful parents who will shower him with love. He deserves to get his eternal happiness.
