Dogs deserve the best. They are our symbol of friendship and kindness, and they are always there when we need them.
I think it’s fair to say that people sometimes take this for granted and may mistreat their dogs even if they don’t deserve it.
Dogs need patience, care, lots of love and attention. If their loved ones can’t provide all of this, it might be better to refrain from adopting a puppy.
In this story we are going to talk about an example of abuse. This dog was abandoned by his family and had to survive alone in a rainy and horrible weather.
A scared dog looking for shelter
When animal rescuer, Suzette Roomwas notified of a small dog wandering around the neighborhood looking for shelter, she knew something had to be done to help the pup.
She understood the puppy, as she had also experienced a similar problem due to the Flooding in Southern Californiaand is now looking for a new home.
Hall said to The Dodo: That day, I felt so helpless, like I had nowhere to go. Hall, founder of dog rescue organization Logan’s Legacy. And then I got the message about the dog.
The people of the The neighborhood said it noticed the dog a few days earlierIt is likely that he was abandoned by his family and left on the street.
THE the constant rain had frightened her and she was looking for a place where she could stay.
Hall continued by saying: She would come over and scratch at the door as if to say, “Let me in!” Then, when no one answered, she would sit there and tremble.
The rescue mission is underway
Before she could help him, she wanted make sure the dog doesn’t really belong to anyoneso she posted about it online, and no one responded.
When she finally found it, she I noticed the dog was very nervousavoiding any contact with her at all costs.
She tried to lure it with a food trapso she left her some treats in hopes she would eat them, but this only scared the dog more.
When it didn’t work, she tried by just talking to the dog. She says: She was too afraid of falling into the trap, so I sat down next to her and talked to her. I told her I understood how she felt. I said, “I don’t have a home right now either.”
Surprisingly, it worked. The puppy started to relax and she managed to get close enough to touch her.
She gave him some pets and then she carried her to his truck where the dog fell asleep.
Dog Finally Gets the Help He Deserves
She was immediately taken to a vet who nursed her back to health. The only remaining problem was her fur, which needed to be fixed.
They I took her to a groomer who shaved off her matted tufts of hair and made her look beautiful again.
The dog, now named Nikki, was finally ready to move to her new foster family where she would await adoption.
Hall said: This is one of those dogs that everyone loves instantlyShe’s so sweet, and she doesn’t even bark!
To this day, Nikki is still in foster care waiting for her new family, and until she finds one, Hall and his team will continue to give her all the love she deserves.
