How many times have you heard that dogs and cats just don’t get along?
Sometimes I feel like this is a story as old as time simply because of all the canine-feline stereotypes that have been floating around for years now!
While this may be true in some cases, Opie and Yeti would definitely disagree!
This fabulous duo has been going from strength to strength since the moment they met, and they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon!
He’s been a Lovebug since day one
Opie has always been one of a kind!
But, to be honest, his past wasn’t that glamorous. Before meeting her mother, Diana, and embarking on a whole new adventure in New England, Opie had trouble finding his home.
All of his littermates were adopted before him and he was left alone. And that’s when Diana intervened!
Since they met, he and his new mother have been inseparable.
“Opie was the cutest dog from day one. And his personality was not hidden for long. He was so excited to travel and meet people. Diane said Cuddly Buddies.
Although he’s not exactly the most energetic dog, he knows how to spice things up in the garden! But above all, Opie is a quiet cuddle bug who loves to snuggle and scratch their backs.
He was never very interested in playing with his other siblings.. He always stood in the corner and watched them go at full speed without showing any enthusiasm for getting in.
So – enter Yeti!
Opie and Yeti break stereotypes without even trying
Diana knew full well that her rescue, Pittie, was not an aggressive dog. However, she didn’t expect him to kiss his feline friends in such a short time!
Especially, he loved the new addition to the family – Yeti!
When he first saw Yeti, Opie was quite confused. He didn’t understand why this tiny ball of fur was following him everywhere and licking his face. All he knew was that it was good!
Yeti adapted so well to the pack that he immediately became an integral part of it.
But most of all, he loved Opie.
And his giant brother returned the favor!
“He immediately chose his brother. I wasn’t sure how they would get along, there’s a big difference in size. But from the moment they met, he was the gentlest giant. said Diane.
It didn’t take long for these two to become best friends in the world. For Opie, Yeti was that piece of the puzzle that was missing all along, and now that he’s here, he couldn’t be happier.
Her New England home now feels much more comfortable with Yeti. And these outdoor activities? They are much more interesting now!
Opie and Yeti’s relationship is a testament to true friendship, and the fact that they are now inseparable only proves that dogs and cats can indeed get along!
