Imagine this scenario: you are a study abroad student and you have come to this beautiful island in the Atlantic to meet new people and gain new experiences.
But destiny had other plans for you. In addition to the incredible adventure you’re about to experience, you also come across a tiny stray puppy who wants to become your new friend. Adorable, isn’t it?
This is exactly what happened to a young girl who went to the Turks and Caicos Islands as part of a student exchange. She had an experience that would change her life for the better.
The most amazing adventure
As the students walked around, an adorable puppy sprinted towards them. The excitement in each of them was palpable.
The student, named Annie, commented on their meeting and say The Dodo: She just ran towards us like…. Hey, can you help me, do you mind?
She also commented that South Caicos was filled with stray dogs everywhere and many of them needed help.
THE the stray animals on the island are called Potcakes by the people who live there, which is quite funny.
After the meeting, pleasantries were exchanged, Annie really wanted to take himbut they had to wait and see if the mother was there.
So that they I stood under the hot sun for hours and I got sunburned, but no one came to get the little puppy.
At this point, it was clear that the dog was aloneand some locals also told Annie that she was usually seen alone, so the mother was unlikely to be there.
A journey to his new life
Now it was quite clear that the the puppy came with her and no one could do anything about it.
She says: I was like, nothing else matters. I don’t need seashells, I don’t need T-shirts. I need Midge.
THE the puppy seemed much more comfortable now that she was safe and out of the heat.
As Annie still had a week left for her exchange program, she contacted Turks and Caicos Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TCSPCA), and they gave him all the necessary medications and vaccines.
Another great advantage is that the organization was also able to reserve a plane ticket to his new home in Illinois.
When she finally arrived, Annie’s parents were excited to meet Midgeand the other dogs too, Millie and Artie.
Millie adored Midge and played with her constantly. The two became best friends and they remain inseparable, even to this day.
She just gets along with everyone so good, and the whole family loves it very much.
His story is just a beautiful story of a lost dog who found his forever home in a wonderful place. She deserves all the best.
