A very scared dog

He wasn’t really used to being around people he didn’t know.because he spent most of his life with his owner.
However, when he could no longer take care of Prince, he left him with his girlfriend. Unfortunately, it was only temporary and it meant bad news for him.
One uneventful day he slipped off his leash when he was walking with her and he never came back.
Animal rescuers picked him up and they did everything necessary to return the dog to its rightful owner.
After discovering the information and whereabouts of the woman who took care of him, they called her and told her about him.
She said she’d come get him from the New York shelter, but unfortunately, this never happened.
So he was now forced to spend his time at the shelter until someone could find him a new home.
A slow and difficult recovery
It was really hard for Prince, because he just didn’t like being around all new people.
They really tried to get used to him, but all their efforts seemed in vain. for a while, because he would easily get scared when he saw the shelter workers.
But soon, one of his caregivers had the idea of ​​bringing him a nice blanket and snuggling him before going to bed hoping he would relax and fall asleep.
They didn’t really expect it to actually work. Prince fell asleep almost immediately and was really enjoying this new routine.
Other workers found out and decided to join in on this dog’s gentle bedtime routine as well.
Since that wonderful day, he has woken up a little and become more extroverted. around all the staff.
He now always waits for someone to come and tuck him in before going to bed.and everyone is happy to do it.
Thanks to this wonderful idea, Prince recovers from his trauma and is much happier.
Although we have little information on who adopted him, we are sure that he is happy in his new home and still enjoying his daily bedtime routines with the new owner.
