As a devoted pet parent, every time I drop my furry baby off at the vet for his checkup, I feel like a part of me is missing. So, I always find myself counting the hours until I can have my sweet girl in my arms again.
Because visits to the vet can be very scary for our four-legged friends, especially when their appointment is a little longer, we humans must prioritize getting them back as soon as possible.
I thought all pet parents felt this way, but then I came across a story about a puppy who ended up staying at the vet longer than he should.

When Dominique Humphries posted a video on TikTok about an owner who took her puppy to a playdate and never returned to pick him up, the internet was heartbroken.
Humphries said she made several attempts to contact the owner of the Pit Bull and Labrador Retriever mix and each time put them in touch, they would tell him they were on their way.
When no one came to pick up this sweet boy, the veterinarian assistant in Atlanta, Georgia, was left perplexed as to why anyone would do such a thing.
“The owner didn’t want to get the dog back because he was afraid of losing him due to a health problem, even though the doctor had previously told them that the dog was fine. Three days later, the owner finally came to pick up his puppy. Unfortunately, as she was working on another puppy, Humphries was unable to face them.
