Bubba was always a special man – he just needed a little help!
When this black and white dog first appeared on a random porch, he was extremely confused. But, at the same time, he knew deep down one thing: that he wanted a home and a family to take care of him!
Luckily, he found one just at the perfect time!
From lostness to an eternal home
Dan and Norma learned of Bubba’s story while he was already in a shelter. Before arriving there, he spent his days on the streetconstantly trying to find a home… or at least a refuge!
One day he appeared on a random porch. He had scars all over his body, indicating that he had probably been in a fight before. Unfortunately, the owner of the house already had dogs and couldn’t accommodate Bubba, so he eventually ended up in a shelter.
“He was found wandering. Apparently what happened was the girl who had dogs, he was like at her front door, and she said he was actually friendly, but she had dogs and that she couldn’t take care of another dog,” Norma said Animals GeoBeats.
Despite being friendly to people, Bubba had difficulty finding a new home. It was just days away from being euthanized when Dan and Norma arrived. And, from that day on, his new chapter of life began!
Bubba traveled from California to Seattle to meet his new family. During the first two weeks it was very insecure and I didn’t know how to behave like a family dog. He would just stay therewithout knowing what a ball or a toy was.
He even had trouble going up and down stairs, probably due to being kept in a crate in the past.
“He was probably kept in a cage a lot, so he also had really bad knees. He kind of walks like he’s older than he is. They said he was five years old, but we’re not sure. Norma said.
But Dan and Norma had it all figured out.
Their other two dogs, Shanti and Zoe, were there to help Bubba! The three of them spent days getting to know each other, and although it seemed like a long time, they finally succeeded.

Live your best life
A few months later, Bubba embraced his new Seattle family with open paws. He completely came out of his shell and began participating in playtime with his new siblings.
He’s even started showing off his quirky sides, like his weird lying down poses and the fact that he loves snacks (that he’ll do anything to have one).
Beneath these old scars from the past was a real virus of love. Even though it was sometimes difficult for Bubba to overcome his traumas, he always found a way to dazzle everyone with his sweetness.
And now he can enjoy life and all the exciting adventures that await him.
Her father has a special place in her heart! He is definitely a family man and will always find a reason to crawl into his lap and get a good pat on the back.
But, at the end of the day, Bubba absolutely loves everyone in the family! He is fair happy to finally be in the right placefar from what we could call the worst times.
He is now part of the family, and he knows it!
